Liquor Licensing

The Licensing Act 2003 dramatically changed the licensing system in England and Wales and not only affects landlords and licensees but it impacts schools, clubs, leisure centres, religious organisations and those who live near licensed premises.

Not only do premises need to be licensed to sell alcohol, but a licence may be necessary, even if alcohol is not being sold. In addition, personal licenses must be held by those selling alcohol and for other regulated entertainment.
