EmploymentApplying for and being offered a new job is an exciting experience. Thinking about the duties and entitlements that follow, such as hours of work, wages, holidays and other benefits is important and these issues should be included in an employment contract.
Sometimes it is also necessary to consider how you are protected from the issues that can cloud an employment relationship. For example, are you entitled to time off to deal with a family crisis? What should you do if you are discriminated against or treated unfairly in other ways in the workplace? Has a company re-organisation meant redundancy or an increased workload for those who remain?
Early advice from our experienced and knowledgeable team can help clarify matters relating to new or existing employment from the outset. And whilst we hope you won’t need it, early advice in any situation which threatens you or your future employment can help you to identify your rights and obligations, as well as any claims you might have. We can help you to reach an amicable agreement with your employer or, if required, we can act on your behalf, and formulate or defend claims in an Employment Tribunal or the Courts.
