Children

We can advise in relation to residence orders, contact orders, specific issue and prohibited steps orders under the Children Act.

Cohabitation

We can advise in relation to Living Together Agreements and trusts relating to property ownership of people in co-habiting relationships. In the event of a relationship breakdown, we can advise on the legal position and on ways of avoiding litigation.

Divorce and Separation

We advise on the grounds for a divorce petition, can prepare and submit your petition to the Court and deal with all issues arising.

We can advise you about Judicial Separation and Separation Agreements in the event you do not wish to divorce.

Finances

The financial aspects of a divorce or separation are of key importance to those involved. We advise in relation to maintenance, capital and property issues, as well as on the complex area of pensions. We draft the necessary documents to give effect to the agreement. We advise you on appropriate solutions and negotiate on your behalf, seeking to protect your best interests. We also advise in relation to Court proceedings, should they be necessary, and regarding alternative dispute resolution methods.

Property Issues

As a result of a relationship breakdown, it may be necessary to determine what should happen to the family home. We advise in relation to the rights of all concerned, as well as on the options regarding property division, transfer and shared ownership.

Pre-Marital Agreements

We can advise about Pre-Marital Agreements which, in the event of your relationship breaking down, may assist in avoiding lengthy and expensive financial disputes.

Although not officially recognised in English Law, in appropriate circumstances the Court are taking such agreements into consideration.

Civil Partnerships

We can advise on the grounds for the dissolution of the Civil Partnership, prepare and submit all papers to the Court and deal with all issues arising.
