Every home for sale now needs a Home Information Pack before it can be put on the market.
A Home Information Pack consists of certain mandatory documents which include a local Authority search, Land Registry Title search, Water and Drainage search and a Domestic Energy Assessment. From April 2009 a Property Information Questionnaire will also be mandatory as will Official searches (insurance backed personal searches will no longer be allowed).
We have our own in-house Energy Assessor who will see your HIP instruction through from beginning to end and we will supply a compliant HIP irrespective of who you choose to market your property for sale.
Ian Motton our Energy Assessor should be contacted for a quote. He will then arrange a visit to your home which usually lasts about 1 hour and involves him measuring the property, checking light fittings, radiators, boiler and loft. The resultant report will provide an estimate of energy usage and carbon emmissions together with suggestions for improvement..
